Trips and travel

Hello all,
I hope you are all well and are now getting into the swing of lectures. As I have said before, University can be an intense and rewarding experience which at time requires a lot of work. As such, as students there is a degree of pressure to have as much fun as we can alongside our studies. Sometimes this is hard to schedule because of deadlines, financial constraints of family commitments.

Some of the best times I have had when at Uni has been when I have been travelling around with friends, but I understand how difficult it can be to arrange and meet everyone’s schedules and budgets. This is why I think it is important to remind you or direct you to the University Travel Shop. Not only can they take some of the hassle away but they offer affordable day trips. These are now available and you can book onto them online.

Listed below are 4 trips that are open to bookings at the moment:

1. 26th Feb 2017- Dr Who Experience

This is currently based in Cardiff Bay, and is full of Dr Who sets, gadgets and information. You can have a fantastic behind the scenes experience. If you are a Dr Who fan, this is the last year you will be able to catch the Dr Who Experience in Cardiff. So why not book onto this trip now.

2.  4th March 2017- Bath Day Trip

This is arguably one of the most beautiful cities in the UK, (personally I think it is York but I am a little biased having lived up there for 4 years). However, Bath is a great place to visit and offers some beautiful selfie spots and insta-photos. This trips includes return coach travel so you don’t even have to worry about or make any awkward train changes.

3. 12th March 2017- Harry Potter Studio Tour

This is a best-selling trip and it is on sale again. On this trip you can experience the wizarding world and all it’s magical behind the scene secrets! You can not call yourself a true Harry Potter fan until you’ve visited the studio.

4. 1st April 2017- Stonehenge

A wonder of the world Stonehenge will blow your mind. How did these mystical rocks make their way to Wiltshire – and why are they there?! See them up close for yourself.

All these trips are available through the link listed below. Book now before it is too late www.swansea-union.co.uk/travel

Also, if you’ve thought about study abroad options have a look at:

Finally if a day trip is not enough, perhaps you can be tempted by a weekend away. The Travel Shop at the front of Fulton House or the Bay SU can help you with this. After all it is important to study and work hard but it is equally important to make the most of the opportunities available to you and have a rest between studying where possible.
