Poster Competition 2016 – submit your entry now!! Prizes to be won!!

I hope you all had a good weekend, now that a new week has begun, I thought for this post I would forward a message from the Research Skills Team to tell you about the Postgraduate Research Poster Competition for Postgraduate Researchers.
About the Competition
Swansea are offering all postgraduate research students an opportunity to submit a poster for the Postgraduate Research Poster Competition 2016. If you decide to take part you will be in with the chance of winning one of three prizes. In order toenter you need to submit your entry by no later than Tuesday 3rd May. The posters will be displayed in Fulton House Dining Room B on Tuesday 10th May. All entrants will be invited to a buffet lunch in Dining Room B on 10th May and the winners will be announced at this lunch along with the winners of the 3 Minute Thesis Competition.
Poster topic
Your poster must reflect and represent your research. You can select any aspect of your research for the topic of your poster or may give an overall outline of your project.
Poster requirements
There are a few templates available in the Research Skills Section of Blackboard and is saved under Poster Competition 2016. You can access and use any of these templates, and can also modify them in any way you wish. You may, alternatively, create your own poster. Whether you use a template or devise your own design, however, you must include the following within the header:
Title
Author
College or department
Originality
The poster entry must be your own, original work, however joint submissions from up to two postgraduate students will be accepted.
The templates are A1 size, either landscape or portrait orientation. If you choose to create your own original poster you should use this standard size.
Poster Deadline
All posters should be e-mailed to skillstraining@swansea.ac.uk no later than Tuesday 3rd May. Posters received after this date will not be included in the competition.

This opportunity could give you a chance to conceptualize your work and deliver it to a different audience. So not only does it give you the chance to win a prize but it could really help you in your work i.e. condensing ideas, writing up your research, spreading knowledge about your research etc.
