Welcome new and returning students

Hello everyone,

I wanted to welcome all the new and returning students to Swansea University. The University

If you feel like it pop along to the Welcome Fair on the 18th or 19th September. There is a marquee on the lawn outside Fulton house which has a variety of stalls for you to visit. For example you can take a campus tour, discover more about the societies and sports offered by Swansea University, dining plans and you can collect you Freshers’ wristband and t-shirts. You can also pick up your welcome pack from the Student’s Union and also don’t forget to collect your Student ID card from inside Fulton house.

On the 20th September the University is hosting it’s Fresh and Free event. This is the first student event of the year which is a late-night celebration hosted in the marquees. Don’t forget your freshers t-shirts and meet those living in your halls of residence.

There is also Freshers’ Fayre on the 22nd and 23rd September in the marquee between 10.30am and 4pm. You can sign up for one of the many societies that Swansea offers, whether you enjoy baking, films, skiing, ultimate Frisbee or rowing (to name a few) there is something for everyone. Pop along to the tent to sign up and get your hands on some freebies. You can also find out about the local eating places, the shops and Swansea market stall who offer really good student deals.

Finally there is Fresher’s Ball on the 25th September. Suit up or wear your best dress and head down to the marquee to enjoy live music performances and DJ sets.

This is just a taste of what the university has to offer. In order to see all the things on offer visit the union website as well as the link below.

Swansea is a city full of really welcoming people and the University is no exception. Make the most of Freshers’ week before the hard work begins on the 28th.

Enjoy everyone and thanks for reading!!!
