Hello everyone.

First of all I wanted to take some time to congratulate everyone on their A Level results. To those who have a place in Swansea in September, congratulations and we look forward to welcoming you to Swansea in a few weeks.

Secondly, I’m sure I am not the only one who has been taken in by the Olympics. It has been an exciting couple of weeks with some highs and lows for team GB. Team GB has had a fantastic games and have spring-boarded from their success at London 2012. There has been some historic wins including our first gold in diving ever; Mo Farah winning the double double in the 10,000m and 5,000m, Andy Murray winning back to back gold medals in the Tennis after a fantastic 4 hour match against del Potro and Nicola Adams becoming the first boxer to win back to back gold medals. Not to mention Team GBs dominance in indoor cycling!

All in all, Team GB managed to finish second on the leader board with 27 gold, 23 silver and 17 bronze medals. This is a testament to all the hard work and hours of training that members of Team GB have put into the last 4 years. I think the future looks bright for Team GB. It has been an exciting games and the athletes conducted themselves in the best way possible. Looking forward to Tokyo 2020 I am sure Team GB will have continued success

Looking to the next few weeks, I would like to wish Team GB the very best of luck in the upcoming Paralympic games; I hope they will also improve upon the success that they experienced in London.

Thanks for reading!
