Celebrating Christmas in Swansea and food collection

index

Hello everyone,

Before I go into the main content of this post I just wanted to quickly mention the Christmas Charity Food Collection that is taking place in all Swansea Univeristy Accomodation.

The University has invited residents to support the food collection by donating items such as soup, beans, dried pasta, sauces and tinned food at collection points by the 14th December. All the donated itens will be taken to Swansea Young, Single Homeless Project whihc offers accomodation or tenancy support to 16-25 years olds who are vulnerable and homeless in the Swansea area. This is a worth while project and at a time where it is easy to get caught up in the festivity, it is good to remember and help out those who are less fortunate than ourselves. We all have something, whether it is that odd tin of soup flavour which your parents bought that you don’t like or that packet of unopened rice which we simply won’t get through in time, in our cupboards that we simply will not eat but rather than throwing it out why not give it to those in need.

The drop off points are:

Singleton- Preseli Reception

HSV- Reception, House 40

Bay- St Modwen Student Living Reception

Beck House- Reception.
